Obituary: Goodman, Daniel J.
Age 70
Passed away on June 16, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Spokane, WA, where he was born on June 20, 1945 to Gordon and Gladys Goodman.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Jr. and spouse Doris; brother Gary and spouse Carol; sister Elaine Cain Locklin and spouse Dave; stepsons, Jay, Keith and Neil Goehri.
Dan also is survived by three grandchildren, Breauna and Joey Daniel Goodman and Danielle Lund, along with a great-granddaughter, Bella Lund and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Shirley Goehri, son Brian and daughter, Dori Lund and brother Clive (Dee).
Dan attended North Central High School, joined the National Guard and later worked for his father, who owned Seehorn Transfer, which he later owned and operated.
In Dan’s younger years, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and snow skiing with family and friends.
In his later years, his enjoyment included trips to Alaska, St. Martin, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and jaunts to Laughlin, Nevada.
He also enjoyed occasional hunting and fishing trips with his son, watching sports with friends at various pubs and stays with his brother and family on Coeur d’Alene Lake.
Dan will forever be remembered for his mischievous laugh and colorful personality and missed by a loving family.
A closed casket viewing will be held on June 24th, 2015 at Thornhill Valley Funeral Chapel,1400 S. Pines, Spokane Valley, WA from 12 to 4 p.m.
The funeral services will be held at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA on June 25th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers to have donations made in Dan’s memory to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society, in memory of his daughter, Dori or charity of your choice.
