Obituary: Myklebust, Thomas Jerome “Jerry”

Age 74

MYKLEBUST, Thomas Jerome “Jerry” (Age 74) Was born on April 29, 1941 to Stanley and Clara Myklebust in Colfax, Washington, and passed away peacefully on May 9, 2015.

Jerry grew up in Lacrosse, WA, on his family’s wheat farm, where he attended his first several years of grade school and then high school.

The family moved to Moscow, ID where Jerry graduated from high school and then attended the University of Idaho to receive his degrees in Teaching and Business Education.

After college, Jerry worked for a short time in Portland, OR as a management training assistant at Meier & Frank.

Leaving Portland, he moved to Coeur d’Alene, where he taught D.E.C.A.

and was also the basketball coach.

After teaching and coaching basketball he and his uncle Bob opened up Myklebust Clothing Store in Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, along with two of his nephews.

He finished his working career with Hamers Mens Clothing Store for several years.

Jerry loved the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Mariners and the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Clara and Stanley Myklebust and brothers, Don and Bob.

He is survived by brother, Rick Myklebust of Spokane and niece, Tanya Freeman of Scottsdale, Arizona.

The family would like to thank the staff at North Central Care Center for their great care of Jerry, we know that he loved them all.
