Palouse fair highlights efforts in sustainability
The second annual Palouse Sustainability Fair is Saturday.
The free event spotlights 30 local businesses, nonprofits, city departments and community members working for sustainability in the areas of water, food, waste, energy, ecology and health.
Along with hands-on workshops and demonstrations, there will be door prizes, food and drink vendors and live music from local bands Smokin’ Mojo, Fiddlin’ Big Al, and Gerry and Kate.
The fair is a collaboration of the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute, city of Moscow, Latah Sanitation Inc., Moscow Recycling, Moscow Food Co-op and Washington State University Center for Civic Engagement.
It takes place from 3 to 7 p.m. at the PCEI Nature Center, 1040 Rodeo Drive in Moscow.
