Obituary: Gage, Robert E.
Bob was born in Lewiston, ID, on August 6, 1944, to Edward and Arsceil (Jones) Gage.
Bob graduated from Newport High school in 1962.
He then joined the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War.
After his discharge he moved to Coeur d’Alene where he met Susan Arney and they were married August 19, 1967, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
He attended the University of Idaho for 1.5 years and then North Idaho College.
Bob worked for Appleway Chevrolet, Dishman Dodge, and Hallmark Hyundai.
He retired in 2012 Bob was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Coeur d’Alene and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane, WA.
He volunteered for SCOPE and enjoyed bowling, softball, and any sports his grandchildren were participating in.
He is survived by his wife, Susan of Spokane Valley, WA; daughter Jody and husband Larry Dixon of Spokane Valley, WA; son Jim and wife Melissa Gage of Spokane Valley, WA; grandchildren: Ryan and Tyler Dixon, Spokane Valley, WA, Peyton Gage who is serving in the Army in Qatar, and Katie Gage of Spokane Valley, WA; sister Viola Grimes of Spokane Valley, WA; father-in-law Pat Arney of Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Bob is preceded in death by his brother Howard Gage in 2000 and sister Edna Johnson in 2013.

The funeral mass for Bob will be 11:00 A.M. Monday June 29, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID.
Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
