In brief: Valley street sweeping underway
SPOKANE VALLEY – Regular street sweeping in residential areas has begun and will continue through May.
Most sweeping will happen between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Residents are encouraged to move vehicles and basketball hoops out of the way, and to keep vegetation and bushes trimmed back from the curb and out of the right of way.
Overhead vegetation should be trimmed to 14 feet above the street.
The spring sweeping keeps debris from clogging storm drains and improves air quality by removing dust and particulates that may be blown into the air.
