Obituary: Conway, Irene Corkrum

CONWAY, Irene Corkrum Irene Corkrum Conway passed away in Holiday, Florida on March 10, 2015, at the age of 95, having been born on August 29, 1919, in Calgary, Canada to Raymond and Carrie Corkrum.

She moved to Spokane when she was two, graduated from high school in Spokane, married Jack Cotter, and moved to Seattle, WA.

In 1948, Irene moved to Honolulu and married George Conway, where they lived until 1957.

In the late 1980’s, Irene moved to Newport Richey, Florida, where she had many wonderful friends and enjoyed the warmth and being by the ocean.

She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Jean Broadhead, of Seattle, WA.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Golem of Agoura Hills, CA (David); granddaughters Kristal Levin (David) of Castle Rock, CO, and Kim Vallejo (Mike) of Simi Valley, CA; and four great-grandchildren: Jordan, Brendan, Riley and Caden; and two half-brothers, Ron and Ray Corkrum, of Spokane, WA; cousin Evelyn Hall Brownell of Santee, CA, and caring friends, Dick and Lois Kassel of New Port Richey, FL.
