Obituary: Maguire, “Peggy”
She was born Margaret Augusta Tews on October 13, 1917 to August and Emma Tews in Oakland, California.
Along with her parents, Peggy moved to Spokane, Washington as an infant.
She attended Whitman Elementary School and graduated from Rogers High School.
She went on to attend Kinmen Business School.
Peggy married James H. Maguire on October 8, 1938 and they had six children together.
The first sadly died as an infant.
She was a member of St. Augustine parish and guild, and later Our Lady of Lourdes parish and guild.
Peggy worked at the Crescent Department Store, and Sunset Florist but her true love was raising her family.
Once her family was grown, she and James managed an apartment complex for 15 years.
Peggy loved playing Bridge, Skip-Bo, and Bingo.
She seemed to always have a knitting or crocheting project going.
Their Priest Lake home was a place for her to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Preceded in death by her first child, daughter Joanne, parents Emma and August Tews, husband James H. Maguire, son James, sister Lydia Skeen, brother Norman Tews.
She is survived by sons Steve Maguire (Gwen), Dave Maguire (Susan), Charles Maguire (Susan), daughter Margie Brickner (Mike), daughter-in-law Phyllis Maguire and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home (1315 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley), Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 11 am.
