42nd Annual Moscow Renaissance Fair Live music, entertainment, food, and hand-crafted arts and crafts from across the Pacific Northwest. Watch and join in the parades and the public maypole dances. Tubbs Hill Wildflower Hike In conjunction with Idaho Native Plant Appreciation Week, the Coeur d’Alene Calypso Chapter will be leading a Tubbs Hill Wildflower Hike. Meet at 10 a.m. Bring your camera and a wildflower book if you have one to enjoy and learn about Idaho native species. 4-H Open Horseshow This is a state qualifying event for Whitman County 4-H members and is open to non-4-H competitors. Twenty-four classes are offered, and buckles for overall high point will be awarded in each age division. “Take Me Fishing” Trailers Stocked with fishing tackle, Idaho Fish and Game’s trailers travel to local fishing spots throughout the state to promote fishing. Fishing equipment and bait can be checked out for free during the scheduled events. Reservations are not needed. Idaho children ages 13 and younger can always fish for free. These events give their parents, older siblings and friends the opportunity to try fishing without purchasing a license. “Guns and Hoses” Game Fifth annual police officers vs. firefighters game with proceeds from the event benefiting the Inland Northwest American Childhood Cancer Organization. Also, silent auction, 50/50 raffle and Chuck-a-Puck. Firefighters from Spokane Valley Fire Department, city of Spokane Fire Department and Spokane County fire districts 8 and 9 will face law enforcement officers from the city of Spokane Police Department and Spokane County Sheriff’s Department.
