Obituary: Fees, Rory
Age 14
Rory was a freshman at Lewis and Clark High School, a member of the LC Band, Speech and Debate Team, and she was an athlete with LC’s Soccer and Tennis Teams as well as the Spokane Scotties Soccer.
This past year Rory became involved in Spokane 4-H, traveling to Washington DC as a Healthy Living Ambassador and training as a Teen Teacher in Nutrition Education.
She was a Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church Oasis Youth Group member.
Rory loves snow skiing at 49’ North, playing her French Horn, attending Camp Spalding every summer, hanging out with her cousin Evarosa and friends.
She loves animals and even as a youth would have friends and neighbors bring bags of dog and cat food rather than a gift so she could donate to Spokanimal.
She loves to ride horses and hold her Aunt’s baby goats.
She loves babysitting and has a special bond with children.
Rory reaches out and embraces everyone she meets with her beautiful smile, sense of humor, generosity, compassion and her unique and individual spirit.
Rory always makes sure everyone is included and accepted regardless of their group.
She is fearless and has a sharp wit about her.
Rory is survived by her parents, brothers, grandparents (Mary Jean Fees and Laurel and Hare Tanaka), and her adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Rory’s Life will be held at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 29th, 2015, at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rory’s name (Rory’s Way) at STCU to enrich the lives of those students involved in the LC Band, Spokane Scotties Soccer, 4-H and Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church Youth Programs.
