Obituary: Ebbighausen, Michael Dennis “Zeke”
Age 71
He was born March 6, 1944 and grew up in Elk WA, with his seven younger siblings.
He enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, hunting and fishing.
He was very musical and we all have great memories of singing along while he played the piano and guitar.
Mike graduated from Riverside High School in 1962 where he lettered in track.
He served four years in the Air Force.
After his honorable discharge, he found employment as a repairman for Westinghouse in Spokane.
In 1971 he moved his family to Portland and took a position with an appliance company where he eventually became a part of the company’s sales and management team.
He continued to play the piano and also worked as a piano tuner.
Mike is survived by his wife, Paula; four sons: Doug, Danny, Steven and Allen; two daughters: Christy and Marie; mother, Rowena “Babe”; siblings Bob, Danny, Carol, Sandy, Gary, Diane, and Susan; first wife, Barbara; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul; and father Francis “Zeb.”
A Memorial service is planned in Oregon City on May 16 and at The Elk Cemetery #1 on May 23 at 1pm.
