Auditions

Spokane Renaissance Faire – The Spokane Renaissance Faire will be holding auditions for a volunteer cast to fill roles at the fifth annual Spokane Renaissance Faire “Tournament of the Golden Apple.” Applicants should come prepared with a two-minute monologue. Those who audition will be cast on a strictly volunteer basis. Roles to be cast include noble lords or ladies, merchants, peasants and fairies. Auditions are Saturday at Airway Heights Library, 1213 S. Lundstrom St., and Sunday at Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E. Wine Glass Painting: Paint ordinary wine glasses into beautiful flowers. Cost is $40/person and includes all art supplies: two wine glasses, paint, brushes, apron, step-by-step instruction, plus a glass of wine and small salad of your choice. Northwest Museum of Art & Culture Portrait Drawing Classes with Henry Stinson: Learn the fundamentals of portrait drawing and the underlying anatomy. This workshop is for artists of all levels of ability. A suggested supply list will be emailed to students upon registration. Saturday, 1-4 p.m. $75, or 10 percent discount for MAC members. Spokane Art School Art Among the Animals with Kit and Pete Jagoda: Art Among the Animals: Get to know the rescued animals who call River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary home. Spend quiet time with Precious the sheep, Oliver the goat, Bryce the donkey and others who find refuge here. For ages 8 and older. June 29-July 2, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. River’s Wish Animal Sanctuary, 11511 W. Garfield Road. $70 plus $15 lab fee. Jewelry with Pete Jagoda: An introduction to jewelry making, using the jeweler’s saw. Lindsey Merrell: Relief Printing: Two Color Linocuts: Merrell will teach students, age 16 to adult, the art of relief printing using a linoleum block to create a two-color print.
