Obituary: Shupp, Donald
Age 75
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 16th at the Word of Life Community Church, located at 6703 North Idaho Road, Newman Lake, WA 99025 (509-226-5148).
All are invited to join.
Don was born in Tannersville, Pennsylvania on June 3rd, 1939.
Don joined the Air Force at age sixteen where he would be stationed in Hawaii and served as an aircraft mechanic.
Following his service, Don re-located to Southern California where he began his lifelong passion of ranching.
Don also became an avid roper and Don continued to rope throughout his life, later on as a youth instructor.
Don loved to watch the rodeo as well as roping events and was always a great animal lover.
Don moved to Livermore, California in the 1970’s where he would remain for the next thirty years.
Don and the mother of his children, Lynn Shupp would raise three children together in Livermore.
Don also worked many years as a long-haul truck driver during this time.
Don was a proud and loving father who became a grandfather five times.
Don moved to Washington in the 1990’s where he met his loving partner, Linda Relph.
Together they purchased a ranch which Don happily attended to until his final days.
Don was a warm and loving person who was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and his contagious laughter.
Don will be missed by all who were lucky enough to spend time with him.
Don is survived by his two sons, Donnie Shupp and Danny Shupp, his daughter, Lori Shupp; five grandchildren, Amanda Pugh, Angela Pugh, Sandra Shupp, Sabrina Shupp, Jacob Shupp; and his partner, Linda Relph.
