ArtFest – Friday-May 31. Three days of art, music, food and the popular Make-It-Art Kids Fair with children’s hands-on art making area. Make-It tent is open Friday, 3-7 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Live musical performances and a wine and beer garden until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Carvers’ Rendezvous - June 5-7. Learn to carve, improve your skills or just have fun. Spokane Carvers is hosting a three-day event at the Spokane KOA on Barker Road. Morning and afternoon classes on Friday and Saturday. Instructors from throughout the Northwest and a wide variety of styles. Potluck on Friday evening; barbecue on Saturday evening. 40th Idaho State Button Show - June 12-13. 40th anniversary show hosted by the local Historical Button Club of Northern Idaho and Eastern Washington. Show theme is “A Berry Wonderful 40 Years” and will feature displays and sales of thousands of antique and collectible buttons dating from the 1700s to the present. Members judge the Button Tray Competition on Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with an evening dinner program on Medieval Buttons presented by Janelle Giles of California. Build an Adirondack Chair - Master woodworker Len Zeoli is holding a workshop for students age 18 and older. Students will take home an Adirondack chair made out of unfinished western red cedar. Animals

Spokane Kennel Club Dog Show - There will be more than 1,000 dogs, participating in events such as conformation, rally and obedience and competing for the title Best of Show. Vendors will be there all weekend with their dog related goods. Several breed clubs and rescues will be there participating in Meet in Breed so you can get to know some of these great dog breeds a little better. Tea With Tucker Enjoy vegan tapas along with shabby chic goodies from Goodwill and music.
