The cafe will donate 10 percent of all sales to COPS as part of its Give Back Wednesdays program.

Friends of Manito hosts plant sale
MANITO PARK – The Friends of Manito Park is hosting a plant sale on June 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nearly 500 different types of plants will be available at this 25th anniversary sale, including hyssop, coral bells, bleeding heart and bee balm.
Many edible plants and fruits, such as hardy kiwi, yellow raspberries and seedless grapes are also available.
All proceeds from the sale go to The Friends of Manito Park.

Fair set for June 6 focuses on safety
MEAD – Fire District 9 will host its annual Demo Day and Wellness Fair on June 6.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., members of the public will be able to see fire demonstrations and auto extrications, participate in a junior firefighter challenge course, see an ambulance and helicopter, and meet Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog.
The event will take place at 3801 E. Farwell Road.
