Obituary: Barton, Beverly A.
Age 65
(Age 65) Born with cerebral palsy on June 9, 1950, Bev faced many challenges in life.
Doctors didn’t expect her to live longer than 10 years but she proved them wrong.
Bev achieved a lot in her life, including graduating Mead HS in 1971.
She lived years on the farm with her parents and enjoyed traveling with them in the RV.
She was a member of Country Homes Christian Church, attending for 40 years, and later a member of First Church of the Nazarene where she loved to sing with the choir.
Bev was a lifetime member of Half Moon Grange and was awarded Grange Member of the Year for Half Moon and Spokane County in 1995.
Bev lived at Eagle Crest since 1998 and enjoyed her independence.
She volunteered at St. Luke’s for 22 years.
Bev was an avid Mariners fan, loving them through thick and thin.
She was friendly, happy, helpful and loved God with all her heart.
Bev died on November 3rd.
Survived by her mother, Melba Jeanne Barton, sisters Sylvia Miller (Dave) and Karen Collier, three nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces, and a large extended family.
Preceded in death by her father, Don Barton, and brother-in-law, Jim Collier.
Thank you to the staff at Eagle Crest for their care for Bev.
