Gene and Carol Haynes celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at a private party at their home on Silver Lake on Sept. 13.

Hosts for the event included their children: Tom Haynes, Medical Lake; and Carl Haynes and Dean Haynes, both of Spokane.

The couple were married Sept. 9, 1955, in Seattle. They have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
