Obituary: Bentley, John E.
Age 82
John was born September 5, 1933 in Coeur d’Alene, ID to Elton and Doris Bentley.
He attended Post Falls High School, and joined the Idaho National Guard in 1951; his unit was deployed to the Korean Conflict until 1953.
John attended North Idaho Junior College, and later graduated from the University of Montana in Bozeman.
He was a network engineer for AT&T, and later worked for Northwest Telecommunications Company.
Upon retirement he enjoyed working on various projects on the acreage he shared with his wife, Pat Bentley.
John was preceded in death by his sister Janice Smith, and is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pat Bentley; his brother Jim Bentley; his sons Mark and Greg Bentley; his daughter Sherri Bentley; and grandchildren Rose Carlyle and Carson Bentley.
A memorial service will be planned for the summer of 2016, to coincide with a family reunion.
