Obituary: Morlan, John

MORLAN, John (Age 71) John passed away October 6, 2015 in Spokane WA due to complications with his heart and lungs, surrounded by family at his side.

He was born to Buford Kenneth and Patricia Alice (Kelley) Morlan in Spokane.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audrey; his three sons, Mark (Wanda) Morlan, Jeremy Morlan, and Greg (Brittney) Morlan; three sisters, Dani (David) Daue, Jacki (Bill) Miller, Barbara Ridnour; and three grandchildren, Justin, Mikayla and Anna.

John is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Morlan and niece, Shelli.

John graduated St. Charles Elementary in 1958 and Cheney High School in 1962, then attended EWU for a short time followed by two years in San Diego as a Yeoman in the Navy.

He then went on to work with the Burlington Northern RR as an electrician for close to 25 years at Hillyard and Parkwater in Spokane and Interbay in Seattle.

John had many great assets, with his greatest asset being his kindness and love for his family and many dear friends.

John is additionally survived by 17 brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, including his newest niece and nephew each born the day after his passing.

His Vigil Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 7:00PM at St Charles Catholic Church, 4515 N. Alberta Spokane, WA with the funeral Mass to follow Saturday October 17, 2015, at 10am.
