Age 89

TIFFANY, Robert (Age 89) Robert passed away on October 10, 2015.

He was a resident of Spokane, WA for 69 years.

He was born on January 14, 1926 in Creston, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eva; his son Mike and his wife Barbara, Coeur d’Alene, ID; granddaughter Jenny Tiffany, Portland, OR; grandson Chad Tiffany, Lewisville, TX; sister Marguerite Brown, Renton, WA; sister-in-law Vikki Rowland, Spokane, WA; nephew Kevin and his wife Lanette Morgan, Colville, WA; nieces Laura and Rich Burgi, Seattle, WA, Barb and Greg Livdahl, Bainbridge Island, WA, and Shirley and Jack Wall, Monroe, WA; and numerous cousins.

Bob trained for the Navy at Farragut, ID and then served in the Navy in World War II on the USS Salamaua escort carrier.

He was in the battle of the Philippines and in Tokyo Bay for the surrender.

He retired from Wallace-Colville Auto Freight in 1985.

He then worked part-time at Jobbers Freight in sales.

He was a member of Teamster Local 690 and an officer in the Spokane Transportation Club.

He attended Veterans Honor Flight to the capitol.

He was also given his honorary high school diploma from North Central High School in Spokane.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St., Spokane, WA.
