Mead trailer fire burns two

A trailer fire sent a man and a woman to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Spokane County sheriff’s spokesman Deputy Mark Gregory said the call came in about 2:05 p.m. Deputies assisted Spokane County Fire District 9 to determine criminal activity was involved, Gregory said.

The fire started in the 4000 block of East Third Avenue in Mead, Washington. KHQ reported that two people were flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with second-degree burns.
