PGA professional Luke Baker of Deer Park Golf Club and amateur partner Jim Bob Coleman tied for second in the Pacific Northwest Pro-Amateur Golf Championship last week at Astoria Golf & Country Club in Warrenton, Oregon.
They shot 65-67 as their 12-under score of 132 was a stroke back of the winners, pro David Lebeck and Jeff Canessa from the host club.
Two other area teams had top-seven finishes. Pro Billy Bomar of Prairie Falls in Post Falls and Mike Kerns tied for fourth at 133 (63-70). Pro Derek Siesser of The Creek at Qualchan and Erik Olson finished seventh at 134 (61-73).

Western Washington, which includes returning senior center Kayla Bernsen of Moses Lake, a second-team all-conference selection last season, and key reserve Aleisha Hathaway, a junior forward from Shadle Park, has been selected to finish second in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s basketball coaches’ preseason poll.
