Children OK after school bus crashes into utility pole
A school bus crashed into a utility pole near Post Falls after the driver experienced a possible medical issue, officials said.
No children were injured in the crash, which happened about 2:40 p.m. today at 12th Street and Wildrose Lane.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies said the Post Falls School District driver was westbound when the bus left the road. The bus struck the utility pole, shearing if off before coming to a stop.
The driver, identified as Roger D. Spears, 67, of Post Falls, was transported to Kootenai Health. All of the students on the bus were transferred to another school bus.
The accident investigation is continuing.
