Zach Lujan threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns, Isaac Wallace ran for 118 yards and another score and South Dakota State spoiled the debut of Kansas coach David Beaty with a 41-38 victory over the Jayhawks on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas.

SDSU’s Jake Wieneke had eight catches for 160 yards and two touchdowns as the Jackrabbits hung on after blowing most of a 31-7 first-half lead.

The Jayhawks got in range to attempt a tying field goal in the final seconds, but quarterback Montell Cozart fumbled the snap when he merely needed to spike it to stop the clock.

BYU 33, Nebraska 28: Mitch Mathews caught backup quarterback Tanner Mangum’s 42-yard Hail Mary with no time left, giving the Cougars a victory over the Cornhuskers in Lincoln, Nebraska, ruining the debut of new Cornhuskers coach Mike Riley.

Drew Brown missed a 41-yard field goal for Nebraska before the Cougars started their final drive from their 35 with 48 seconds to play.

Temple 27, Penn State 10: P.J. Walker scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter to rally the Owls to a win over the Nittany Lions in Philadelphia.

It was Temple’s first win over Penn State since Oct. 18, 1941.

Navy 48, Colgate 10: Chris Swain rumbled for 126 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown, all in the first half to lead the Midshipmen over the Raiders in Annapolis, Maryland.

Air Force 63, Morgan State 7: Nate Romine threw for 119 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Falcons over the Bears in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
