WSU-Wyoming: Jacob Thorpe’s Keys to the Game

3: What went wrong

With the exception of a 35-yard touchdown pass from Luke Falk to Dom Williams and a 36-yard TD scamper from running back Keith Harrington, the WSU offense did not have many explosive plays. While some credit should go to the Cowboys for holding the Cougars, WSU will need more big plays to find success against Pac-12 defenses.

4: Difference maker

The game ball goes to Peyton Pelluer. Against a Wyoming offense that repeatedly tested WSU’s defense with runs up the middle and to the outside, Pelluer was all over the field, collecting 14 tackles. He came up with big plays on third and fourth down, finishing with 3 1/2 tackles for loss and stuffing the Cowboys in situations that could have changed the game’s outcome.
