The Arc of Spokane Healthy Futures Dinner and a Movie This month’s movie is “Hero,” and pizza will be served. The goal of these dinners is help adults with disabilities learn how to be safe in relationships. We discuss how Hollywood portrays relationships versus the reality. Held fourth Friday of the month. “Mr. Holmes” The story is set in 1947, following a long-retired Sherlock Holmes living in a Sussex village with his housekeeper and her young son. “Symphony of the Soil: An Important Environmental Warning” The UN General Assembly declared 2015 the International Year of Soils with the intent of educating the global community about the importance of soil for human life. “Of Mice and Men” Based on the book of the same title written by John Steinbeck. Story of two drifters, one a gentle but slow giant, trying to make money working the fields during the Depression so they can fulfill their dreams. Discussion of the book precedes screening.
