Obituary: Heglin, Thomas

HEGLIN,
Thomas Daniel, Jr.

Born November 29, 1942.

He passed this life’s final test November 18, 2015.

Tom is bowing before his God and Maker now and forever more.

Those he beat to this reward are his wife, three sons, three daughters -in-law and 12 grand- children.

One grandchild beat him there and is showing him the ropes.

Tom is best identified by his handlebar mustache, but best known for what he did.

He provided for and took care of his wife of 47 years, reared three sons and taught them that life wasn’t about them and how to serve.

They are all public servants.

He continued this teaching to his grandchildren.

He served his family, friends, neighbors and community anytime, anywhere.

The deeds are too many to list.

Later in life he figured out that those didn’t matter as much as who Tom was, a child of God.

He added this to his teaching of his kids, grandkids, family, friends, neighbors and those he came across.

We all miss him.
