U.S. routs Russia in semis of women’s hockey championships

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia – Hilary Knight had two goals and two assists, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson had two goals and an assist and Kelli Stack scored twice and the United States routed Russia 9-0 in the semifinals of the women’s hockey world championships on Sunday.

Megan Bozek had a goal and two assists. Brianna Decker added a goal and an assist, and Monique Lamoureux had three assists for the U.S., which will play the Canada-Finland winner for the championship on Monday.

Goalie Alex Rigsby earned her first shutout and second win of the tournament. The Americans outshot Russia 40-17.

The U.S. has scored 22 goals in four games in Kamloops.
