Liberty Lake Police Blotter: Alleged beer thief, 20, returns stolen beverage

A Liberty Lake business was able to get its stolen beer back recently after a police officer tracked down the alleged thief.

Police were called to the 1300 block of North Liberty Lake Road at 10 p.m. on March 29 by an employee who reported that a man had left without paying for a case of beer. The employee got the man’s license plate number and gave it to police.

An officer went to the home of the car’s registered owner, who told the officer that the homeowner’s 20-year-old son had the car. The son was called and the business reported getting its beer back a short time later.
