Associated Press

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Software security firm Symantec has resumed layoffs at its Springfield office amid a corporate restructuring.

The Register-Guard reported that the Mountain View, California,-based cybersecurity firm recently laid off an undisclosed number of employees. Spokesman Matt Nagel said Wednesday that the firm has both added and fired workers in Springfield.

Last year Symantec laid off close to 200 customer support workers in Springfield as it split its security business from a separate branch that was recently sold.
