Age 74


BRO, Wayne Robert

Passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the age of 74.

Wayne was born in Spokane, WA on March 17, 1942 to Chester and Carol Bro.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie (Ann), as well as his three children Leslie (Craig) Sanders of Spokane, WA, Shawn (Keri) Bro of Airway Heights, WA, and Todd (Melissa) Bro of Mead, WA.

He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Samantha, Jason, Rebecca, Gabe, Brittany, Brandon, Ryan, and Morgan as well as his two sisters Eileen Klebaum of Wapato, WA and Eleanor Poole of Spokane, WA.


Wayne was a member of the first graduating class from Shadle Park High School (1960).

After high school, he worked with the Washington State Forrest Service in Stehekin while he was in college and had a career as a Design Draftsman with Avista Corporation (formerly Washington Water Power) from 1962-2000.

After retiring, Wayne taught blueprint reading at The Jack Stewart Training Center.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed kayaking at local lakes, watching Inland Northwest wildlife, woodworking, and spending time with his family and friends.


A memorial service is being held at Shiloh Hills Fellowship on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11:00AM.
