Ellen was born February 25, 1944, in Spokane, Washington, and was adopted by Thomas and Mary Leavey.
She passed away April 10, 2016, unexpectedly from cancer.
Ellen attended St. Augustine’s Grade School, Marycliff High School, and Holy Names College.
She worked for School District 81.
Ellen loved her family, pets, coffee, antiquing, reading, shopping and crafts.
She is preceded in death by her son Mark James.
She is survived by her husband Jim, the love of her life for 51 years; daughter Theresa (Colorado), and son (adopted grandson) Mark Anthony (Spokane).
A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
The family encourages donations to SCRAPS in her name.
