Free dump passes available for Northwest neighborhood residents

The Northwest Neighborhood and the Audubon/Downriver Neighborhood Associations will have 65 free dump passes each for residents of the neighborhoods.

The passes will be passed out at the April general meetings, 7 p.m. Thursday, at Browne Elementary School for the Northwest Neighborhood or at Finch Elementary School for Audubon/Downriver Neighborhood.

Any remaining passes will be issued Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the COPS Northwest Shop, 2215 W. Wellesley Ave., Suite D, next door to the laundry business at Shadle Center.

Dump passes are issued on a first-come, first-served basis, and the passes are good for two weeks after issue. A driver’s license or a utility bill is required to verify residency in the neighborhoods.

Note, the passes will only be accepted at the city’s Waste to Energy plant at 2900 S. Geiger Blvd.; they won’t work at the North County Transfer Station or the Valley Transfer Station.

The Northwest and Audubon/Downriver Neighborhoods cover the area west of Ash Street to the Spokane River, bounded by Belt Street and Indiana Avenue on the South, Francis Avenue on the north to Fairview Avenue, including Westgate and Northwest Terrace.
