Truck strikes, kills 5-year-old boy in Granger parking lot

GRANGER, Wash. – The Washington State Patrol said a 5-year-old is dead after being struck by a pickup truck in a convenience store parking lot in Granger.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reported that the boy ran in front of a Toyota Tacoma just before 5 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Granger Travel Plaza.
