Area girls: MeganJoe Beedle hits 7 3-pointers and Curlew tops Cusick

Korin Baker had 20 points with 14 rebounds and MeganJoe Beedle hit seven 3-pointers en route to a game-high 21 points and the Curlew Cougars (6-3) breezed to a 56-37 win over the visiting Cusick Panthers (1-6) in Northeast 1B play.

Gracie StrangeOwl led Cusick with 15 points.

Pullman 42, Port Angeles 39: Carolena Sears buried a shot with 23 seconds left to play and the visiting Greyhounds (2-6) outlasted the Roughriders 42-39 in nonleague play.

Kelsey Nestegard led Pullman with nine points and Sears finished with seven.

Deer Park 32, Priest River 29: Destanne Sunchild scored seven points and hit a key jumper with 12 seconds remaining to lift the Stags (4-3) to a 32-29 win over the visiting Spartans (3-5) in nonleague play.
