Break-in, assault lead to woman’s arrest

A woman was recently arrested in Liberty Lake for allegedly breaking into a home and assaulting a resident.

The woman who was arrested had been warned to stay away from the property several times, said Liberty Lake Police Chief Brian Asmus. She broke through the glass portion of a door to get inside the home on Saturday, he said.

Cheralee K. Pinnock was arrested on suspicion of felony burglary, assault and malicious mischief.

Jan. 28: A suspicious person was reported in the area of Baldwin Lane and Salmon River Lane. The man was arrested on several warrants before police realized that someone had falsely used his identity. He was released.

Jan. 29: A resident in the 22000 block of East Country Vista Drive reported that a credit card had been fraudulently charged $75.

Jan. 30: A resident in the 2000 block of North Madson Road reported that someone had written a forged check for $60.

Arrests: Police made three arrests for driving with a suspended license.

Citations: Officer gave citations for expired vehicle registration, failure to show proof of liability insurance, defective tail light/license light, defective muffler and speeding.
