Chiefs storm past Vancouver
Wed., Feb. 3, 2016
VANCOUVER, B.C. – Kailer Yamamoto scored just 42 seconds into the match and the Spokane Chiefs never looked back en route to a 6-2 victory over the Vancouver Giants in Western Hockey League action on Wednesday.
Spokane (25-20-3-2, 55 points) also had first-period goals from Jason Fram and Tyson Helgesen in taking a 3-0 lead.
Vancouver (20-28-3-2) made things interesting with a pair of Chase Lang goals in the second period, but the Chiefs put the game out of reach with three goals in the final 20 minutes.
Markson Bechtold, Keanu Yamamoto (empty-netter) and Jaret Anderson-Dolan all found the net for Spokane in the third period.
