ASHWORTH,
Robert Owen
(Age 80)
Bob made it to his 80th birthday!
He was born in Mt.
Vernon, WA and grew up in Everett, WA.
He graduated from Everett High in 1954 and enlisted in the Air Force.
He retired after 20 years.
Bob made Spokane his home and worked for Whitworth University for over 30 years.
He met great people there and would still get together with many of them for coffee after walking the mall.
They called themselves the “Mall Walk-A-Bees.”
Bob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Baxter, who was the only one who got to call him “Bobby.”
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Ashworth, and the love of his life, his wife, Delores Ashworth whom he married in 1988 and passed away in 2010.
Bob leaves behind a sister, Arlene Ashworth (Milton Dick); nephew Dale Harlander (Michelle); niece Laura Perry (Steve) and many other nephews and nieces.
Bob didn’t have children of his own, but got three when he married Delores, Dennis Hauenstein (Tanya), Daryl Hauenstein (Jeanne), and Diane Holley.
Diane was a special daughter to Bob who called him every day after Delores passed away.
Dennis and Tanya have two sons, Cody and Ryan.
Daryl and Jeanne have two sons, JD and Devin.
Diane has one son, Justin and one daughter, Samantha.
Bob loved his grandchildren so much and they brought him much joy.
Bob is gone but he will always be in our hearts.
A big “thank you” to Dr. White, Dr. Cutter, and Dr.
Deter.
Together with God you gave Bob two years more to be with us.
Thank you from all of us!
