Around the remote: ‘X-Files’ set to vanish again
DON’T MISS: “The X-Files” season finale – It hardly seems fair. We waited 13 years for new episodes and now Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are already leaving us again. As the special event series wraps up, people all over the country are becoming gravely ill and our heroic agents are desperate for answers. Complicating matters is the devious Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis). Whatever happens, let’s hope the gap between new episodes won’t be as long this time. 8 p.m. Monday, Fox.

SUNDAY: “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60” is a two-hour special that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the so-called “Happiest Place on Earth.” Included: A preview of plans for a new “Star Wars”-themed land. 8 p.m. ABC.
SUNDAY: “Must-See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows” is a special that celebrates the career of the director known for pumping up the laughs in shows such as “Cheers,” “Friends,” Frasier, “Taxi,” and more. Stars of those shows reunite to honor Burrows. 9 p.m., NBC.
SUNDAY: Season 5 of “Girls” opens with Marnie (Allison Williams) micromanaging her wedding to Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) at an upstate New York resort while trying to maintain the facade of the breezy bride. Meanwhile, Desi battles wedding-day jitters. 10 p.m., HBO.
MONDAY: Filmed shortly before his death in 2014, “Becoming Mike Nichols” is a documentary pegged to an in-depth interview with the acclaimed writer and director who gave us films such as “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and “The Graduate.” 9 p.m., HBO.

TUESDAY: Don’t try this at home: “Forged in Fire” is a cutting-edge competition series that has world-class bladesmiths testing their mettle by creating sharp objects like the Japanese katana and the medieval broadsword. 10 p.m., History Channel.
WEDNESDAY: “Fat Chance” is a new reality series about people trying to gain confidence and find romance while dealing with their weighty issues. Up first: Daniel, a 300-pound single father with a demanding job. 10 p.m., TLC.
THURSDAY: On “The Blacklist,” Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) investigate the murder of a State Department official whose body was found in Beijing. They trace the evidence to a secret safety-deposit vault used by bad guys. 9 p.m., NBC.
FRIDAY: It’s crossover time on “The Vampire Diaries” as Stefan (Paul Wesley) tries to lure a vampire hunter away from Mystic Falls by heading to New Orleans, home of “The Originals.” There, he reunites with Klaus (Joseph Morgan). 8 p.m., The CW.
SATURDAY: Kumail Nanjiani (“Silicon Valley”) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”) are our hosts for the 2016 Film Independent Spirit Awards, aka the Oscars for indies. “Carol” leads the pack with six nominations, followed by “Beasts of No Nation” with five. 2 p.m., IFC.
