BALDWIN, Ralph H. III
Ralph Baldwin passed away at home in Tacoma, on February 12th.
He was born in Washington D.C. on June 24th, 1943 and spent most of his childhood in Spokane, where he at- tended Gonzaga Prep and graduated from The Lewis and Clark High School in 1961.
He graduated from Washington State University in 1966 with a B.A.
in Political Science.
While there, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, was very active in campus life and remained a loyal Cougar all the rest of his days.
Upon graduation from WSU, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served as a pilot during the Vietnam War.
He left active service as a Captain in 1972 and later joined the Army Reserves, from which he was honorably discharged in 1990.
In 1976, he graduated from University Of Puget Sound School Of Law with a Juris Doctor degree.
He was active as an attorney and Judge Pro Tempore in Tacoma and Pierce County, as well as an instructor of Business Law in local community colleges.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph H. and Margaret E. Baldwin.
He is survived by his significant other Alisa Scott; his daughter Peggy (Mike); son Stephen; grandsons, Miles and Walker; siblings: Diane Page, Buzz Baldwin and Patricia Baldwin-Rataezyk.
Ralph deeply loved his family and was loyal to his friends.
His great sense of humor and contagious laugh drew people to him and he will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 18th at the Tacoma Yacht Club.
