Accounting

Magnuson, McHugh and Company has promoted Kris Mayhew to senior accountant in audit and assurance services, Chris Shipley to director of audit and assurance services and Ninette Goucher to director of the consulting and accounting department. Mayhew has been with the firm since 2013 and Shipley and Goucher have been with the firm since 2006.

Engineering

Welch Comer Engineers has been awarded bronze by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Washington (ACEC) and received First Place in the Special Projects Category from the ACEC of Idaho in the 2016 Engineering Excellence Competition. The firm received these awards for work on Hawthorne Avenue, US 395 to Walnut Street project for the city of Colville and the McEuen Park and Front Avenue Redevelopment Project for the city of Coeur d’Alene.

Finance

STCU has hired Sarah Wallin as the branch manager of the Downtown branch and Kristen Piscopo as a community relations officer based at the University District branch. Previously, Wallin was executive director at Wishing Star Foundation. Piscopo also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Integrated Media Department of Gonzaga University. In addition, STCU has launched an investment services division through CUSO Financial Services, an independent broker-dealer. The credit union has named licensed financial advisors Donavan Welch, Steve Juul and Mike Doherty to this new division.

RiverBank has named Kellie Yates as senior vice president, commercial banker and Tim Engh as vice president, commercial banker. Yates has 35 years of experience in community banking, including experience in commercial banking, private banking, credit administration and loan servicing management. Engh has 11 years of experience in small business banking and branch management. He was previously a financial advisor.

Don Stafford has joined Wells Fargo as a regional vice president for the Greater Spokane Regional Commercial Banking Office. Previously, Stafford was with Bank of America’s middle market team in Spokane for 11 years. He also has experience as market team lead for portfolio managers and credit product analysts.

Health care

Rockwood Retirement Communities announced that Ben Nielsen has been named a board member and Marianne McCormack has been hired as director of development for the Rockwood Residents’ Foundation. Nielsen previously served as a trustee for Rockwood from 2004 to 2012 and currently sits on the building committee. McCormack was previously the community relations officer for STCU.

Insurance

Peter Howard has joined the Coeur d’Alene office of PayneWest Insurance as a personal insurance team leader. Howard was previously with the PayneWest Billings office. He is a recipient of PayneWest’s New Sales Award in 2014 and 2015.

Law

Jane E. Brown, a family law attorney, has been recognized as a 2015 10 Best Family Law Attorneys for Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. Attorneys are selected based on exceptional performance, as well as their reputation among clients.

Realty

The commercial real estate company, Sperry Van Ness Cornerstone, has changed its name to SVN Cornerstone. The company remains at its location at 1311 N. Washington St., Suite C.

Retail

Yoke’s Foods has hired Dan Dicicco as the store manager of the Liberty Lake location, Jeremy Dugger as a meat merchandiser and Eugene Henthorn as the assistant store manager at the Argonne location. Dicicco has more than 35 years of experience in the grocery industry and was previously with Safeway. Dugger worked previously in retail meat management for Albertson’s and as a retail sales manager for Intermountain Marketing. Henthorn has more than 20 years of experience in the grocery industry and was previously with Safeway.

Etailz has hired Zachary Nevins as an inventory clerk, Neeltje Vanderplank as an international onboarding coordinator for the German market, Kayla Bostwisk as a partner optimization coordinator for pets and outdoors, Riley Preschon as a buyer and Krystal Liwanag as an accounting relationship coordinator.

Jacobs Upholstery and Patio has changed its name to Jacobs Custom Living. The company has been in operation since 1959 and will now offer custom furniture services in addition to custom upholstery.
