1. Steven Wright
He has an Oscar. He was the voice of the all-’70s radio show in “Reservoir Dogs.” He produces (and sometimes appears on) the much lauded FX series “Louie.” Besides all that, Steven Wright is a standup comedian, know for his laconic style, non-sequiturs and bizarre one-liners.

2. Car Seat Headrest
Car Seat Headrest is mostly one guy, Will Toledo, who is from Leesburg, Virginia, but who now calls Seattle home. His latest album, “Teens of Style” was released in September on Matador Records; the followup, “Teens of Denial,” is planned for 2016. He gets help from Seattle musicians Ethan Ives (bass) and Andrew Katz (drums).

3. “Under the Streetlight”
A concert celebration of classic hits of the American radio songbook from the 1950s-1970s featuring tight harmonies and slick dance moves that take audiences back to an era of sharkskin suits, flashy cars and martini shakers in a show starring Michael Ingersoll, Christopher Kale Jones, Brandon Wardell and Shonn Wiley.

4. Third Annual Lantern Tap House Winter Beerfest
The Tap House will bring in more than 30 winter beers from all over the Northwest, and serve them alongside live music. Up Thursday is Andy Rumsey, followed on Jan. 15 by DJ Lydell and Jan. 16 by Marshall McLean Band.

5. “Fifty Masterworks from the Print Collection”
New exhibit celebrates the Jundt Art Museum’s 20th academic year and features works by Marc Chagall, Salvador Dalí, Francisco Goya, Wassily Kandinsky, Käthe Kollwitz, Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt van Rijn, Andy Warhol and 42 other artists collected by the museum and Gonzaga University.

6. Pianist Peter Ritzen
The Flemish pianist/composer, music director of Das Akademie Orchester in Vienna and artistic director of the New Cosmos International Music Festival, will perform two concerts to benefit St. Dominic Girls School, a private, traditional Catholic school in Post Falls. His “A Spiritual Odyssey in Music” tour will include works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Franck and Leschetizky.

7. The Greg Kucera & Larry Yocom Collection
The Washington State University Art Museum opens an exhibit of works from the Greg Kucera & Larry Yocom Collection. Kucera, owner of the Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle, and his husband, Yocom, have in a 30-year span assembled a significant collection of contemporary and historic art of the Northwest, and many significant works of internationally known artists.
When: Jan. 14 through March 25, with reception Jan. 21, 6-8 p.m. Hours are Mondays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
