Boys basketball roundup: Cremers guides St. George’s past LRS
Collin Cremers had 28 points and eight rebounds and hit the go-ahead bucket with 30 seconds left to give St. George’s a 67-65 come-from-behind victory over Lind-Ritzville/Sprague in a Northeast 2B League game Saturday in Ritzville.
The Broncos held a 62-55 lead with 4 minutes left, but were outscored 12-3 to close out the game.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague’s Wyatt Roettger had a chance at the end, but his 3-pointer was off the mark.
Mitchell Ward and Erik Farias added 10 apiece for St. George’s (13-5, 7-3). Jacob Saetre led LRS with 21 points and Alan Field, Dallas Killian and Roettger each added 10.
Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (10-7, 8-3) routed St. George’s 60-38 on Dec. 11 at St. George’s.
Inland Empire 5A
Post Falls 63, Lewiston 55: Jacob Pfennigs made four 3-pointers and scored 20 points as the Trojans (11-5, 3-0) survived the Bengals’ fourth-quarter rally and won in Post Falls. Zach Hillman added 14 points, six assists and two steals and Max McCullough chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds for Post Falls. Lewiston’s Braeden Wilson scored 21.
Great Northern
Pullman 74, West Valley 48: Mike Peterson scored 20 points and Jake Cillay added 15 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Greyhounds (13-3, 5-3) dumped the visiting Eagles (10-6, 4-4). Tim Pendry added 11 points and seven assists for Pullman, which had 26 assists on 29 made baskets. West Valley’s Johnny Sage scored 14.
Northeast 2B
Northwest Christian 64, Springdale 32: Ryan Ricks scored 16 points and added six steals as the Crusaders (15-2, 12-0) routed the visiting Chargers (9-7, 4-5). Asher Cox added 15 points and Ian Starkey chipped in 12 for Northwest Christian. Springdale’s John Lynch scored 15.
Davenport 60, Kettle Falls 43: Nathan Hopkins had 16 points and four steals, Jaden Flett added 11 points and 16 rebounds and the Gorillas (8-9, 5-7) used a hot start to get past the visiting Bulldogs (4-13, 3-9). Peyton VanPevenage added 11 points for Davenport, which outscored Kettle Falls 25-8 in the opening quarter. The Bulldogs’ Dakota Crumpler scored 17.
Northeast 1B
Wellpinit 57, Cusick 44: Cedric Bowen scored 13 points and Jason Holt added 11 points and six steals as the Redskins (13-3, 9-2) topped the visiting Panthers (6-8, 6-5). Alfonso Salinas added 10 points and nine rebounds for Wellpinit, which built a 28-18 halftime lead. Cusick’s Tyson Shanholtzer scored 14.
Inchelium 59, Valley Christian 46: Kenny Lelone scored 18 points, Malachi Sagerser added 11 and the Hornets (4-9, 3-8) topped the visiting Panthers (5-11, 3-8). Valley Christian’s James Segalla and Chase Strunk combined for 25 points.
Wilbur-Creston 60, Reardan 46: Jacob Clark scored 15 points and Devin Magers added 14 points and nine rebounds as the Wildcats (6-9, 4-8) opened the game on a 24-2 run and eased past the Indians (2-14, 1-10) in Wilbur. Reardan’s Jordan Rohweder scored 18 and Wyatt Thurman chipped in 16.
Almira/Coulee-Hartline 61, Curlew 36: Dallas Isaak scored 24 points and Peyton Nielsen added 14 points and 16 rebounds as the Warriors (16-0, 12-0) routed the Cougars (10-4, 7-4) in Coulee City. Gunner Brown and Kieran Poore combined for 23 points for Curlew.
Odessa-Harrington 52, Northport 35: Colt Sanford had 17 points and 14 rebounds and the Titans (2-12, 2-7) pulled away in the second half and beat the Mustangs (0-14, 0-11) in Odessa. Colton Hunt added 13 points for Odessa-Harrington, which outscored Northport 16-1 in the fourth. Northport’s Aiden Middlesworth scored 10.
Selkirk 53, Columbia 12: Jacob Couch had 13 points and 10 rebounds and the Rangers (11-5, 7-4) overwhelmed the Lions (1-12, 1-9) in Ione. Columbia was held to just five points in the final three quarters.

Oakesdale 50, St. John-Endicott 40: Evan Henning led three players in double figures with 14 points and the Nighthawks (4-12, 2-8) opened the game on an 18-4 run and held on to beat the Eagles (2-13, 0-8) in St. John. Adam Blakeley scored 21 for St. John-Endicott.
Colton 53, Touchet 52: Grant Kinzer scored 21 points and the Wildcats erased a nine-point halftime deficit and edged the host Indians. Touchet’s Carlos Rincon scored 18.
Central Idaho
St. Maries 51, Grangeville 36: Kiefer Gibson had 13 points and eight rebounds and Jake Sieler added 12 points as the Lumberjacks (13-1, 5-0) pulled away after a competitive first quarter and beat the visiting Bulldogs.
Nonleague
Lake City 57, Glacier 42: Kenny Louie-McGee made 6 of 11 3-pointers and scored 22 points and the Timberwolves (4-11) soared ahead in the third quarter and dumped the Wolfpack in Coeur d’Alene. Lake City made 7 of 11 shots from the floor in the third quarter and outscored Glacier 20-9 after being tied at halftime. James Carlson added 16 points and six rebounds for the Timberwolves.
Medical Lake 55, Rogers 49: Jaelon Stith led three players in double figures with 15 points and the Cardinals (10-5) edged the host Pirates (3-13). Rogers’ Jahlil Frans led all scorers with 18.
Bonners Ferry 68, Coeur d’Alene Charter 26: Caleb Blackmore had 20 points and nine rebounds and the Badgers forced 30 first-half turnovers in an easy win over the visiting Panthers. Kaleb Stockton added 12 points and four assists for Bonners Ferry.
Genesis Prep 50, Priest River 42: Samuel Ogwuche and Jonny Hillman scored 17 points apiece and the Jaguars clipped the host Spartans (6-7). Priest River’s Hunter Hartwig scored 15.
Lapwai 58, Pomeroy 35: Emmitt Taylor scored 11 points and Savion Henry and Ivor Miles-Williams each added 10 as the Wildcats beat the host Pirates (8-8, 4-5). Lapwai put it away in the final quarter, outscoring Pomeroy 19-4. The Pirates’ Oscar Morfin scored nine.
