Downtown Spokane bank robbed

The Banner Bank at 508 W. Third Ave. was robbed Wednesday afternoon, the third bank robbery in the area in the last week.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 40s about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 175 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored track suit, a baseball cap and pantyhose over his face, police said. He reportedly showed a handgun.

The man was last seen heading north on Stevens Street.

The Inland Northwest Bank at 518 W. Francis Ave. was robbed Tuesday morning and the Banner Bank in the 4400 block of North Division Street was robbed on May 26.
