Area roundup: Gonzaga rallies past No. 14 Arkansas

Gonzaga scored nine unanswered runs in the final three innings to erase a four-run deficit and the Bulldogs (6-6) rallied for a 15-10 nonconference victory over the 14th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

GU’s rally came after Arkansas’ Rick Nomura hit a grand slam off Sam Hellinger to give the Razorbacks a 10-6 lead.

Justin Vernia retired nine of the final 10 batters to pick up the save. Hellinger earned the win.

Arkansas pitcher hit five GU batters.
