In brief: Thompson, Curry combine for 15 3-pointers, Warriors drop Trail Blazers

NBA: Stephen Curry scored 34 points, Klay Thompson had 37 and the Warriors avenged their worst defeat of the season by beating the Portland Trail Blazers 128-112 in Oakland, California, extending their record regular-season home winning streak to 47 games.

The Splash Brothers combined to shoot 15 of 25 on 3-pointers and went 26 for 55 overall, with Thompson joining Curry as the only players with 200 3s in four straight seasons. They scored 30 or more points in the same game for the sixth time in their careers.

Portland topped the defending champions with 19 3s to Golden State’s 18 as the teams combined for the most 3s in NBA history.

Depleted 76ers snap 13-game skid, beat Nets: Carly Landry scored 16 points, Nerlens Noel had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Philadelphia snapped a 13-game losing streak with a 95-89 victory over visiting Brooklyn.

Ish Smith added 10 points, nine assists and seven rebounds for the Sixers (9-56), who won their first game since Feb. 6.

Brook Lopez scored 24 points for the Nets (18-47), who have lost three straight.

Williams, Hornets top Pistons for sixth straight win: Marvin Williams tied a career high with five 3-pointers and scored 22 points, and Charlotte beat Detroit 118-103 in Charlotte, North Carolina, for their sixth straight win.

Nicolas Batum added 17 points and 11 assists for the Hornets, who have won 12 of their last 14 games.

The Hornets (36-28) moved eight games over .500 for the first time since the end of the 2000-01 season.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had 24 points for the Pistons.

Dragic scores 26 as Heat beat Bulls: Goran Dragic scored a season-high 26 points, Josh Richardson added a career-high 22 and visiting Miami used a big fourth quarter to beat short-handed Chicago 118-96.

The Heat won their sixth in seven games.

Pau Gasol led Chicago with 17 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Guards Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler sat with injuries.

Rubio’s late 3 lifts Timberwolves past Thunder: Ricky Rubio’s 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds remaining lifted visiting Minnesota to a 99-96 victory over Oklahoma City.

Rubio finished with 13 points and 12 assists for his eighth double-double of the season.

Kevin Durant scored 28 points, along with six rebounds, to lead OKC. Russell Westbrook had 26 points and eight assists.

Mack scores career-high 27; Jazz beat Wizards: Shelvin Mack scored a season-high 27 points as Utah beat Washington 114-93 in Salt Lake City.

John Wall had 24 points and nine assists for Washington, which lost its fourth straight to fall 2 1/2 games behind Detroit for the last Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Magic hold off Kings, end three-game skid: Aaron Gordon had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Victor Oladipo scored six of his 18 points during a 40-second stretch of the fourth quarter to help lead Orlando to a 107-100 win over the Kings in Sacramento, California.

Kosta Koufos had 19 points to lead Sacramento.

Fleury gets 350th; Pens beat Jackets

NHL: Marc-Andre Fleury became the 20th NHL goalie with 350 victories and Pittsburgh beat Columbus 3-2 in Columbus, Ohio.

Kris Letang, Chris Kunitz and Carl Hagelin scored for Pittsburgh. Fleury made 11 of his 25 saves in the third period.

Gregory Campbell had a goal and an assist for Columbus.

Power-play goals help Flyers beat Lightning: Steve Mason made 18 saves, Sam Gagner and Matt Read both scored power-play goals and Philadelphia beat Tampa Bay 3-1 in Tampa, Florida.

The Flyers moved within two points of Detroit for the second Eastern Conference wild card.

The Lightning, second in the Atlantic Division, got a goal from Brian Boyle, and Ben Bishop made 19 saves.

Allen wins fifth straight; Blues beat Ducks: Vladimir Tarasenko had two goals and an assist, Jake Allen got his fifth straight win and St. Louis beat visiting Anaheim 5-2.

Jori Lehtera and Patrik Berglund sparked St. Louis with third-period goals 64 seconds apart for a 3-1 lead.

Allen made 26 saves and improved to 4-0-0 career against Anaheim.

Ryan Getzlaf and Rickard Rakell scored for the Ducks.

Spezza scores in fifth straight in Stars’ win: Jason Spezza scored in his fifth straight game and Dallas regained the Western Conference lead, beating the visiting Blackhawks 5-2.

Dallas improved to 41-20-8 with 90 points, two more than Central Division-rival Chicago.

Kari Lehtonen made 21 saves for the Stars.

Coyotes snap road winless streak, beat Flames: Brad Richardson scored twice after Antoine Vermette put Arizona ahead early in the third and the visiting Coyotes beat Calgary 4-1 in Calgary, Alberta, to snap a 10-game road winless streak.

Shane Doan had two assists and has 41 points this season, giving him his 14th season with at least 40. The Coyotes are 2-8-1 in their last 11 games.

Mikael Backlund scored Joni Ortio made 22 saves for Calgary.

Stricker shares lead as Spieth makes cut

Miscellany: Jordan Spieth holed three shots from off the green and made the cut with one shot to spare in the Valspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida. Now he has to figure out how to catch Steve Stricker and Will MacKenzie.

Stricker holed out from the 10th fairway for eagle on his way to a 5-under 66 that gave him a share of the lead with MacKenzie, who had a 67.

Spieth rallied from his opening 76 with a 68 by making five birdies and a couple of tough pars that he needed to make sure he stuck around for the weekend with hopes of defending his title.

Lutsenko wins fifth stage of Paris-Nice race: Kazakh rider Alexey Lutsenko won the mountainous fifth stage of the Paris-Nice race to move into second place overall behind overnight leader Michael Matthews of Australia in Salon-De-Provence, France.

Lutsenko finished 21 seconds clear of Alexander Kristoff who won the sprint for second.

“The priority was the yellow jersey more than the stage win,” Matthews said. “I’m not going to say I can win Paris-Nice, but I’m going to give it everything I have.”

Saturday’s penultimate sixth stage stays in the mountains.

Ryan Hill wins 3,000 at U.S. Indoors: Ryan Hill won the 3,000 meters at the U.S. indoor championships in Portland for his third national title.

Hill, coming off a victory in the 3,000 at the Millrose Games, finished in 7 minutes, 38.6 seconds for the second-fastest time in the world this year.

The former North Carolina State standout won the 2-mile race at the indoor championships last year, as well as 5,000 in the 2015 U.S. outdoor championships.
