2. Jamie Kennedy

3. Coeur d’Alene Blues Festival

4. Andrew York & Alex de Grassi

Two leading innovators of the guitar – Grammy-winning classical guitarist Andrew York and Grammy-nominee Alex de Grassi – join forces to fuse the sounds and traditions of steel and nylon into a unique duo program. Part of the “Friends of Guitar Hour” Concert Series.

5. “42nd Street”

This classic backstage musical comedy features some of the best known songs of the Great American Song Book, including “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off to Buffalo,” “Dames,” “I Only Have Eyes For You” and the title tune. Part of the 2015-16 Best of Broadway season.

6. Spokane Symphony Classics 8: Symphonic Dances

Japanese superstar Sayaka Shoji returns to perform Felix Mendelssohn’s influential Violin Concerto, regarded as an essential work for all aspiring violin virtuosi to conquer. Another crowd-pleaser will be Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Also on the program is Michael Abels’ much-admired “Global Warming,” which celebrates the many similarities between folk music of divergent cultures. Eckart Preu, conductor.

7. An Evening with David Crosby

This legendary singer-songwriter is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, inducted as a member of both the iconic folk-rock band The Byrds – with whom he first rose to stardom – and the iconic Woodstock era-defining group Crosby, Stills & Nash.
