(Age 70)
Of Spangle, Washington passed away March 20, 2016 in Spokane, WA.
She was born February 19, 1946 in Burns OR to Keith G. and Clara E. (Rassmussen) Choate.
Chris was a graduate of EWU with a degree in education.
Following graduation, she traveled to Okinawa, Japan and taught for one year.
She returned and taught at West Liberty School, Christian Heritage School in Edwall and was the founder of Spangle Christian School.
She also worked at Cannon Hill Boys home as the Foster Care Coordinator and often had foster boys living with the family.
She also was the Director of Emmanuel Lutheran Learning Center in Reardan for many years.
She was an active member of Spangle Community Church, a weekly craft group member and was the founder of the Spangle Community Church Prayer Room.
Through the Prayer Room at the church, she gathered prayer requests from 100s of cancer patients in the area and involved five Spokane area churches whom prayed daily for those requests.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years., Ralph Sunwold of Spangle, WA.
; children, Kristen Blauert and her husband Bart of Reardan, WA.
and Scott Sunwold and his wife Kristine of Spokane, WA.
; brother, Mike Choate; sister, Janet Williams; grandchildren Kaitlyn and Riley Blauert, Kellen Baird and Sydney Sunwold along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, at the Spangle Community Church.
Private family burial will be at Spangle Cemetery.
