4. “Next to Normal”

This award-winning musical provides an unflinching look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of mental illness. Their lives are anything but normal. The show takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting the family’s story with love, sympathy and heart. Presented by the Modern Theater and Coeur d’Alene Summer Theater.

5. “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”

6. Spokane Symphony Classics 9: Genius Evolution

The symphony, conducted by Eckart Preu, tackles J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 1, Anton Bruckner’s Symphony No. 6, and Osvaldo Golijov’s “Sidereus (starry messenger).” Part of the Classics series. Attend free talks with the conductor and guest artist one hour before the concert.
