Chiefs open preseason with 5-3 over Vancouver
The Spokane Chiefs got two goals from Curtis Miske and three assists from Kailer Yamamoto Friday to beat the Vancouver Giants to open the preseason schedule.
Vancouver tied the game 2-2 in the second period until Jake McGrew scored his first goal in a Chiefs uniform to take the lead for good.
The Chiefs also got goals from Jaret Anderson-Dolan and Hayden Ostir.
The Chiefs next play Saturday at 11:30 a.m. against the Portland Winterhawks in Everett.
