Kootenai County deputies search for hit-and-run driver who struck bicycling woman in front of 8-year-old daughter
Kootenai County deputies are searching for a driver who struck a woman bicyclist on a ride with her 8-year-old daughter on Monday evening, and then drove away without stopping.
The hit-and-run happened in Hayden, Idaho, in a crosswalk at Fourth Street and Honeysuckle Avenue.
Witnesses, including the daughter, said the crash happened at about 5:55 p.m. and described the driver as a male driving a blue passenger car westbound on Honeysuckle Avenue. They said the driver looked at the woman he had struck, along with the girl, before driving away.
The bicyclist is 28 years old and was taken to Kootenai Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
